To savor world-class music in the great outdoors, head to the Seaport x BSO event on Seaport Common to hear the Boston Pops Esplanade Brass Ensemble. Members of the famed orchestra will be performing a mix of classics and contemporary faves on September 12th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
To get out on the water (and out of the office), check out World Ocean School’s Envoy Lunch Sails, two-hour sails in the harbor on the city’s only historic tall ship with food by the Envoy Hotel’s executive chef Tatiana Rosana. Sounds way cooler than a quick sandwich from down the road, right? The last sail of the season is on September 13th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Business professionals looking to stay in the know can hit the Business of Software Conference, a gathering place for industry discussion and collaboration. September 16th through 18th at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center.
For some innovation inspiration, head to HubWeek, an event bringing together art, science, technology, and Boston’s greatest minds as they tackle tough problems, and make both a local and global impact. Build a better future in the Seaport from October 1st through 3rd.
To be fancy for a good cause, look no further than the Northeast Clean Energy Council’s Green Tie Gala. This networking event will celebrate accomplishments in clean energy and continue working to make Boston a clean energy hub. October 17th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
It’s almost time to incorporate delicious fall veggies back into your cuisine, and The Trustees’ Mobile Farmers Market is there to provide for you. This is one of the best times of year to pick up fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and farms from all over eastern Massachusetts sell their wares here. Tuesdays from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on the Seaport Common and Thursdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Pier Four.
If you’re more the dining-out type, check out our roundup of outdoor dining options in the Seaport—all of which will be even more enjoyable now that the endless heat and humidity have finally abated.
To work off that hearty fall food, there are also tons of fitness opportunities through the Seaport Sweat events held several times a week. Get your workout on with classes like Hip-Hop Yoga, JPPilates Stroller Bootcamp, Spartan and more. The best part? Classes are free. Through September 28th on the Seaport Common.
Fond of walking through the district with your furry best friend? Polkadog Bakery’s Serenade Saturdays feature singer Abby MacDonald, who will serenade your pup with a personalized song. Saturdays from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
And finally, for those craving some culture, admission to the Institute of Contemporary Art is free for all visitors every Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
With so much to do, it will be time to shop for a turkey before you know it. Happy (almost) fall, everyone!
